Dear students,
As in every year, the Students’ Union of Eötvös Loránd University Faculty of Informatics, from now SUFI, will hold the representative’s election this year also. You can read the relevant informations below.
Who can be a nominee of the Council of Representatives?
Quote from the Statues of Students’ Union of Eötvös Loránd University:
1. § (3) Every student – except the doctorate course – is a member of the Students’ Union, and every member of the Students’ Union is an elector and eligible during the elections of the Faculty one attends.
Who are the members of the Students’ Union of Eötvös Loránd University Faculty of Informatics?
Quote from the statues of Students’ Union of Eötvös Loránd University Faculty of Informatics:
1. § (3) Every student is member of the Students’ Union, who has a programme at the Faculty, and the students who are on teacher training at the Faculty, independently the form of one’s studies.
The Electoral Committee of the Students’ Union of Eötvös Loránd University Faculty of Informatics has declared the representative’s election timetable in 2017:
- 6/Mar/2017-12/Mar/2017.: Orientation term;
- 13/Mar/2017-20/Mar/2017.: Candidation term (statues of Students’ Union of Eötvös Loránd University Faculty of Informatics 48.§);
- 21/Mar/2017-02/Apr/2017.: Break between the Candidation-, and the Elections term;
- 03/Apr/2017-05/Apr/2017.: Candidation term – supplement term;
- 12/Apr/2017-23/Apr/2017.: First round of the elections (statues of Students’ Union of Eötvös Loránd University Faculty of Informatics 49.§);
- 1/May/2017-7/May/2017.: Reserved term for the occurent extension of the elections;
According to the Statues of SUFI 50.§ (1) and (3):
- (1) The first round of the election is valid only if at least the twenty-five percent of the electives participate in the voting.
- (3) The election is succesful only if it is valid and at least fifty percent of the candidates but at most 46 candidates becomes elected.
The rules of the representative’s election are well-defined in the Statues of SUFI (in particular 45.§-50. §) and have to be followed.
